How to increase Sales

Sales = Price x Volume.
That’s it, there’s nothing more to it.
Only two bits to the formula.
So, to increase sales, you only have price or volume to play with.

Price.
There’s no doubt about it, price plays a significant part in decision making.
"So why not discount? If you reduce the price, won't you sell more?"
Possibly.
But you need a lot more sales to make up for the profit you’ve lost from discounting.

Your price needs to cover your costs and provide you with a profit margin.

Discounting chops away at your profit margin.
It should only be used sparingly.

Which leaves us with Volume.
If we only had one thing to sell, how could we sell more of it, without touching the price?

Engagement
Gap analysis
SEO
EDM
Digital
Social
These are great ways to generate leads.

But it’s what happens next that is MOST important.

You must be totally customer focused.
Understand their frustrations, their pain points.
Engage and convert.

What do they really want?
What are they really buying?
Yes, it’s as simple as this.
And as complex as this.
People buy from people who understand.

Ask yourself:
How good are your people?
How good are you with your people?
Maybe it's time to do something about it.
