Choose to live up to your potential

“Doesn’t feel like we’ve had much of a break, does it?” a client said to me yesterday.
Which means he didn’t feel recharged and refreshed like he normally does after the Christmas break.

And I think there’s probably a lot of other people feeling the same way right now.

So, how do we dig deep, re-set and get ready to do it all again? Consider this:

“Compared with what we ought to be, we are only half awake. We are making use of only a small part of our physical and mental resources. Stating the thing broadly, the human individual thus lives far within his limits. He possesses powers of various sorts which he habitually fails to use.”
- William James

Already this year, I’ve dealt with people who:

  • have been bullied by their boss

  • are under significant stress

  • are sad are exhausted.

But I’ve also dealt with people who are:

  • excited about the year ahead

  • have started putting their plans into action

  • see opportunities everywhere.

So, now it’s up to us to choose. If William James if right, that most of us live, ‘far within our limits’, then what we make of the year ahead is really up to us.

Now is the time to take a good, hard look at your life. Set your plan and get into action.
If not now, when?
If not you, who?

Let me know if you need a hand.
