Interesting comments from business clients to the Budget.
I heard some interesting comments from business clients to the Budget.
Plumbing business – 15 staff
“We need more gear and some vehicles, so we’ll make the most of the asset write offs. And we’ll be putting on some apprentices so that assistance will help.”
Tyre repair business – 3 staff
“We’re looking to put a sales guy on, he’s under 35 so that wages thing will help.”
IT business – 8 staff
“It’s the cocaine budget! We’ll get a massive rush, then once it’s over in a couple of years we’ll be scratching our heads having to deal with what we’re left with.”
Finance Broker – 4 staff
“Hopefully it will free up some money. At the moment it’s taking one of the big four banks 30 days to pick up a file!”
One thing is for sure, we’re well into this and there is no easy fix. Our clients are deeply concerned with the future, their future and how things will turn out.
But I haven’t seen one of them stop, throw their hands in the air and walk away. They might be deeply concerned but they’re also deeply committed. The attitude is, “Ah well, let’s get into it then.” And they do.
Resilience and determination. In spades.
