If you give someone a promotion, it’s on you to give them all the support you can, to train, mentor and be there for them so they can flourish and succeed.

It’s not OK to point the finger at them later and say they’re not cutting it.

It’s up to you to do all you can to assist them on their journey of growth and development.

This is one of the true measures of being an effective boss.
